I started a Kuroshitsuji fanfic a while ago between Ronald Knox and my OC Serenity-Rose Michaelis. [See [link] for reference.]

Would anyone be interested in reading it? I'm posting the first page below in this journal as a little preview. I don't have a name for this yet but I'm sure I'll figure one out eventually.

A word of fair warning though, the first page is really sad but it'll get happier from here on in. And sorry for my crappy writing ability. Let me know what you all think!


"Ronald... I want to... give you something..." Mrs. Knox said with shortened breath. The young reaper gripped his mother hand and squeezed it lightly. "Don't try to talk now, Mum." he told her gently. "Just focus on your wounds healing." His mother shook her head slowly. She then lifted her shaking left hand and slipped off the beautiful ring from her finger. "Your father... gave this to me... when... when he decided to spend... the rest of his life with me..."

Mrs. Knox suddenly coughed violently, spitting up blood, the ring falling into her lap. "Mum!" Ronald cried, nearly climbing into the hospital bed, patting her back carefully. "You're in pain. I'll go get the doctor -" he stood, ready to leave when his mother gripped his shirt sleeve. It pained Ronald to see her smiling as blood trickled down the corners of her mouth. "I won't... suffer long..." she slowly drawled. Ronald hesitantly sat back down, never taking his eyes off of her.

With a shaky hand, Mrs. Knox picked her ring up off of her lap and offered it to her son, who reluctantly took it. "Give it to... someone you want to... spend the rest of your life with..." she explained. Her breathing was getting shorter and shorter by the second. Ronald knew she wasn't going to survive another half hour. "But, Mum..." he choked, trying his best to hold back tears. "How will I know?" His mother took his hand and smiled. It was a smile that Ronald would remember forever.

"You'll... know... because... she'll make... you feel... like the world... is yours..." Mrs. Knox sighed. Like the world is mine? Ronald thought. Was there really someone like that out there for him? "I... know... you'll... find... her..." She then closed her eyes and let out a heavy sigh with a smile. A moment later, her grip released from Ronald's hand. "M-Mum?" Ronald asked, warm tears filling his eyes. Unfortunately, it was too late. She was gone. She had left Ronald Knox alone in the world with a beautiful, unmatched smile.
