Hello, my darlings~

I honestly have no idea why I keep writing these journals so late at night when no one is even online XD

Since school started last week, I've been busy. I was supposed to be attending three classes but ended up having to drop one as I couldn't make time in my already busy schedule (mainly school and work) for the mandatory lab hours that I didn't find out until the second day of class were separate from the actual class itself. And here's the kicker - I couldn't pass the class without doing the separate lab work. Luckily I was able to drop that class and get my money back. The illustration class and math class I still attend keep me busy enough (although my illustration teacher isn't exactly the most organized person).

Anyway, between work and school and prepping for SacAnime which is next week and taking care of my mom who is still healing from surgery, I've kinda been a little lazy in keeping my bedroom up to snuff. I'm not very proud to say that so far, my room has only been cleaned 1.5 times this year alone. I spent eight and a half hours one day back in March getting my room completely spotless as it hadn't been touched since Christmas, only to have some arrogant gorilla of a cable man come in and destroy it again trying to get to a faulty outlet in my room. -unhappy dragon noises- Thankfully, it was a minor mess he made (but still a mess a so-called professional should not be making in their client's home) and I was able to get it cleaned up very quickly.

But then Fanime was approaching at the end of May and I began preparing for that. Especially since I had to do my revamped Star cosplay completely from scratch! So I messed up my room again preparing for that con. And even after the con, I had one thing after another pile up and I just haven't been able to find the time to clean it. That's not exactly the smartest idea when you live in front of a huge open field.

Now we fast forward to Wednesday this past week.

I don't know if it was stress, some kind of stomach bug or a combination of both but I was miserable and sick to my stomach that entire day. The only thing that felt good on my stomach was salty crackers and eventually a can of soup. I went to bed sick as a dog that night and was not thrilled with the fact that I had to get up for school the next morning. Despite having gotten up early for work and not feeling well all day that day, I had the hardest time falling asleep. I was relieved when I finally did.

Sadly, I was spooked awake around 3:30 later that morning by the noises of a mouse loudly scratching about in my room! I hate mice with a passion. Whoever came up the term "quiet as a mouse" was either taking something they shouldn't have been taking or has obviously never heard what a mouse rummaging around sounds like. I ended up moving to the couch in the living room for the rest of the night.

The last time I had mice in my room, they immediately left the moment I started cleaning my room. So once I got out of my final class this evening, I sat down and began cleaning the area of my room where I heard the mouse. The difference between this time and last time however, was that last time I actually found evidence that there were mice in my room. This time? Not a single trace. So I'm either hearing things or I have a ghost mouse in my room.

But I got a good clean dent put in my room just in case. So here's hoping to actually getting some sleep tonight~!!

Wish me luck!

Ronald Knox Cosplay: Final Glossing by StarSubeki
Ronald Knox Cosplay: Final Glossing
Okay I lied. This is the absolute final preview of my lawn mower for Ronald Knox before I start spamming you guys with finished results.

I spent my evening carefully spraying finishing gloss on all the pieces I painted in order to further prevent the paint from peeling and such. And then stayed up until one in the morning finishing my homework for my illustration class later today XD

Anyway, as I said, this is the final preview before I finally assemble this thing. And not a moment too soon as the next con I'm attending is right around the corner!!
